5 things to do on a rainy day

It’s gross outside. You might hungover. But that doesn’t mean you have to waste your day napping in bed.

Check out these five fabulous activities right in our neighborhood for an easy fix to a dreary Saturday.

1. Bottle & Bottega – Combines hands-on art with BYOB. What gets better than that? Stop by with friends by between 5 and 8 p.m. tonight for their “Public Painting Party” for a unique way to spend your Saturday evening. Ticket prices ($35) include painting supplies, an apron and your very own canvas. Register online here.

2. The Brew & View – Catch Bridesmaids, Pirates of the Caribbean or  The Hangover: Part II tonight with your favorite brew in hand at The Vic. Shows start at 6:30 p.m.

3. Whole Foods – Yes, I said it. It’s amazing. And as weird as it sounds, spending an afternoon walking around checking out all of the incredible (and sometimes weird) food they offer can be kind of fun. Grab a friend and go hungry.

4. Puppy store – Give a few furry friends a little love by visiting a local puppy store this afternoon. Guys, if you’re taking a girl on a date, this one’s a no brainer. Every girl loves puppies. Try Puppies R Us if you’re looking for a good spot.

5. Cafe Ba Ba Reeba – Make it a long afternoon full of tapas and Sangria with friends. Spanish tapas (small plates meant to be shared) are traditionally eaten around 2 p.m., with meals lasting as long as three hours. Kick back, relax and enjoy a little taste of Spanish culture. Trust me from experience, they’re pretty authentic.

Enjoy!
